Emergency Supplies, Survival Kits

Are You and Your Family Prepared and Protected?

Are you prepared, could you protect your loved ones if a disaster occurred?

Do you know how to prepare and protect against disasters?

Knowing what to do during an emergency is an important part of being prepared and may make all the difference when just seconds can count.

Being prepared gives peace of mind and could save lives. When a disaster hits you won't have time to shop or search for emergency supplies, even if they are available. If however you have prepared emergency supplies in advance, you and your family could endure an evacuation or home confinement for some time - allow for at least three days supplies.

Todays world is precarious, both from natural and man made disasters which may unfortunately affect any of us or our loved ones at any time.
Whether they are natural - such as floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, or man made - such as terrorism - biological, chemical, nuclear, explosions, cyber or fire, you need to know what to do and to have survival kits and gear available to assist in survival.

You rarely, if ever have advance warning when or where a disaster will happen and therefore don't know where you or your loved ones may be at that particular time, it is therefore important to plan ahead for such eventualities to minimise risks, threats and worries - devise a communication plan.

Bear in mind, that if a large disaster does occur the emergency personnel that we rely on to rescue and save us in our every day lives will be very stretched and may not be able to assist us for a long time or at all.

Utility and transport services are also likely to be severely disrupted in the immediate disaster zone for some considerable time - perhaps there is no water, electricity, gas, petrol, diesel, food supplies or medical assistance, perhaps even martial law is implemented.

You need to know what to do in an emergency and to have your own EMERGENCY SUPPLIES

These can be obtained in ready-made kits - containing emergency food, water, shelter, first aid, sanitation, lighting, communications and search and rescue supplies or of course you can make up your own. To all of these kits should be added any special medication that you or other family members rely on as well as clothing and bedding.

Important family documents and sums of cash should also be included in the kits.

All kits should be easily accessible for when and where you need them most - at home and in the car. Hopefully your place of work and schools will also take the same precautions in case people cannot travel home.
